Leasing

Leasing is sort of like part time horse ownership. Leases can be one, two, or three rides a week, or more. Leases allow for practice time riding in the ring, as well as hang out time with “your horse”. Lease horses often open up the opportunity to really focus on a specific discipline in your riding as well as attend shows or clinics. Prices depend on the type of horse you want to lease, but start as below:

* Lease rates subject to change depending on the horses needs. the costs are shared if they need shoes, extra supplements or extra feed with increased activities.

Leased horses at Cougar Mountain Stables are for students ONLY currently in the program.

We do not lease outside of the program.

1 ride a week

Base rate: $180/month

2 rides a week

Base rate: $360/month

3 rides a week

Base rate: $540/month

Full Lease

Base rate: $720/month

I was at a few different riding facilities before I was introduced to CMS and The Red Barn by a friend in school. CMS is by far the best stable I have been to. Everyone there is so nice and it is such a welcoming environment. I love not only being able to work with the horses but seeing the work that the staff put in to rehabilitate all of the rescues that come in!
