Horse-crazy campers, Enhanced Horse Program!
Serious Horse-Lovers Camp: Focused and Fun with Horses Only!
Our renowned riding programs, which have seen kids progress from beginners to advanced riders—even breaking wild horses—are now enhanced with a dedicated Horse Schooling Program. For those horse-crazy kids who just can’t get enough of our 40 horses, we’ve created a special curriculum. Each child will receive a comprehensive booklet that guides them through various levels of horsemanship. The more time and dedication they put into learning, the more they can achieve, culminating in a sense of accomplishment as they complete the program.
Riding Lessons
Riders participate in daily group lessons tailored to their skill levels. Our instructors are dedicated professionals from our year-round lesson program, bringing a wealth of knowledge, experience, and a sense of fun to the learning process. Lessons incorporate both English and Western riding when appropriate for the rider's level and follow a curriculum designed by our Academy Director. Each rider progresses at their own natural pace in a program designed to bring out their best. Safety and proper progression are our top priorities. We aim to create well-rounded, balanced riders who understand the fundamentals of horsemanship—while fostering a fun, supportive environment where students can laugh and enjoy their time with the horses and each other.
Horsemanship
Riders gain hands-on experience in horse care and management as they assist with daily barn duties. Topics include grooming, tacking, bathing, basic healthcare, feeding, nutrition, and stable management—all taught in an engaging, hands-on manner. We believe that children learn best by doing, and our program emphasizes active participation. Kids love caring for their assigned horses, and our equine professionals ensure each rider gets the guidance they need while having plenty of fun along the way.
Free Period Riding
Each morning, riders will participate in lessons with their assigned mounts. In the afternoons, students often have the opportunity to “hack,” or ride independently on the flat. While these sessions are closely supervised by our staff, they allow students to experience the joy of independent riding—similar to having a horse of their own, but without the full-time commitment! For riders not yet ready to hack, afternoons will include additional horsemanship activities and horse-related games. No student will ever ride alone; however, we encourage them to build confidence and autonomy as they practice techniques learned in their lessons.
