Beginner horsemanship lessons focus on building a strong foundation in horse care, safety, and basic riding skills. Students learn how to approach, halter, and lead a horse safely, as well as the fundamentals of grooming and tacking up. Lessons also cover essential riding techniques, such as proper posture, balance, and communication with the horse using reins and leg cues. Emphasis is placed on understanding horse behavior and developing confidence around these gentle animals. Through hands-on practice, beginners gain the skills needed to progress in their horsemanship journey. Lesson Rate $110

Trailmanship Class – Learn, Ride, Explore!
Our Trailmanship Class is a one-of-a-kind experience that combines real-world horsemanship with the excitement of trail riding. This immersive program gives riders a behind-the-scenes look at how a professional trail outfit operates—while learning the skills to do it all themselves!
This is more than just a ride—it's a full learning experience! You’ll get to see and participate in every step of the process, gaining confidence and understanding in what it takes to safely ride and manage horses beyond the arena.
Perfect for beginners and all level of riders ready to take their skills to the next level while enjoying nature and adventure with their horse.
🧭 What’s Included:
Each class includes:

2-hour lesson at the barn focused on horsemanship and riding fundamentals

Hands-on practice preparing your horse for riding (grooming, tacking, etc.)

Loading horses into the trailer and traveling together to a local trailhead

Unloading, and hitting the trails with our instructors

2 - 3hr guided ride through beautiful natural landscapes, putting your new skills into action

Total of 4 - 5hr experience! (Can be broken up into two days also)

🐎 Age & Experience Requirements:

Ages 10+

Riders must be comfortable at a walk (2hr riding lesson, helps you with this!)
🧢 What to Bring:

Riding boots (required – must have a heel)

Helmet (we provide loaners if you don’t have your own)

Comfortable pants (leggings, jeans, or riding tights)

Water bottle

Snacks or a small lunch (optional, especially for longer rides)

Advance payment is required for all private lessons and packages.
Cancellation policy: When the student has to miss a private lesson, we require 24 hour notice of cancellation. Without 24 hour notice, you will responsible for cost of the lesson and no make-up will be given for that lesson. Make ups can be scheduled when you provide at least 24 hour notice, or when a private must be rescheduled due to instructor’s availability or holiday closings.
